Free to use. The code is released under the MIT licence. The data comes from third parties, and each dataset keeps its own terms.
What Foul Throw is, and is not
Foul Throw is a statistics playground: it lets you explore “what if” scenarios and follow the money trail using publicly available information.
- It is an independent, unofficial calculator. When you choose to remove results, it mechanically recalculates tables, trophies and published payments, and it links every figure to its source.
- It is not a statement that Manchester City, or anyone else, has done anything wrong. City denies wrongdoing, and no final decision in the Premier League case has been published.
- It is not a prediction of any sanction, a view on what should happen, legal or financial advice, or a calculation of compensation owed to anyone.
- Speculative effects (cup competitions and the lower-league ripple) are outside the Premier League case, are off by default, and are clearly labelled as speculation when you switch them on.
You are asked to accept this notice before using the explorer.
Use
- You can use the explorer for any purpose, including journalism. A credit and a link back are appreciated.
- The explorer is a scenario tool. It is not legal, financial or investment advice, and it does not decide who is owed compensation. Check the underlying sources before relying on any figure.
- The explorer is provided “as is”, without warranty. See the disclaimer below.

- Data is not covered by the MIT licence. Each dataset keeps its source’s terms, and reusing it means following them:
- League results: openfootball, public domain (CC0).
- City’s cup and European records, points deductions and cup winners are checked against or compiled from Wikipedia, which is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. Reuse requires attribution and sharing under the same licence.
- Payments and prize money are figures published by the Premier League, EFL, FA, UEFA and FIFA, and by the other sources linked from each figure. Check each source’s terms before reusing its material.
- The Sources page lists every source.
- Club and competition crests and names are trademarks of their owners. They are used only to identify clubs, and they are not covered by the MIT licence.
- This is an independent project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Premier League, Manchester City, the FA, the EFL, UEFA or FIFA.
